트로피이미지

An Yong-bok0An Yong-bok was a Joseon fisherman who lived in the 17th century. In 1693 and 1696, he bravely protested against the authority of the Japanese government. His two trips to Japan had the Japanese government recognize that the islands of Ulleungdo and Dokdo belonged to Joseon. Eventually, the Japanese government banned its citizens from traveling to these islands. In 1696, the Japanese government sent a letter that confirmed the two islands belonged to Joseon.
