Susan Ahn Cuddy0Susan Ahn Cuddy was the second daughter of Korean independence activist Ahn Chang-ho. As an Asian-American, she overcame racial prejudice and achieved many first feats in the United States. In 1942, Cuddy became the first Asian-American woman to join the U.S. Navy. She was also the Navy’s first female gunnery officer. Later, Cuddy became the first Asian-American woman to work at the U.S. Naval Intelligence Office and the first to work as a codebreaker. She was even the first Asian-American section chief of the National Security Agency. She had an iron will and never gave up!
