Grevin in Seoul

The
Musee Grevin, one of the most famous and oldest wax museums in Europe,
is opening its first Asian branch in Seoul, Korea, on July 11. The
museum was founded in 1882 in Paris, France; and has been displaying
life-sized wax statues of world’s most popular movie stars, including
Nicolas Cage and Brad Pitt; and other international figures such
as Albert Einstein and Mahatma Gandhi.
Before opening the 37,700-square-foot (about 1,060 pyong) branch
in Seoul, the museum is adding eight wax models of “hallyu” celebrities
to its exhibition including a Grammy-Award-winning soprano Jo Sumi,
actor Jeon Do-yeon, and contemporary singers PSY and G-Dragon.
The museum
will also feature a history theme park, which will showcase Korean
historical figures, such as King Sejong, the fourth king of the
Joseon dynasty, and Shin Saimdang, a 16th-century lady poet and
painter.
While an increasing number of foreign tourists are visiting Seoul,
the Grevin museum is expected to add even more diversity to the
city’s tourist attractions, giving boost to the tourism industry.

유럽에서 가장 오래되고 유명한 밀랍 인형관 중 하나인 그레뱅 박물관이 7월 11일 한국 서울에 첫번째 지사를 설립합니다.
그 박물관은 1882년 프랑스 파리에 처음 생겼습니다.
그리고 알버트 아인슈타인, 마하트마 간디와 같은 국제적 인물과 니콜라스 케이지, 브레드 피트 등의 가장 유명한 세계 영화배우들의 실물크기 밀랍인형을 전시해왔습니다.
37,700 스퀘어풋 (약 1,060 평) 짜리 지사를 서울에 설립하기 이전에,
그 박물관은 그래미상을 수상한 소프라노 조수미, 배우 전도연, 그리고 현대의 가수 싸이와 지드래곤 등의 한류 스타 밀랍 인형 8개를 추가할 예정입니다.
그 박물관은 역사 테마 공원도 운영할 예정입니다.
그 공원은 조선시대 4번째 왕인 세종대왕과 16세기의 여성시인이자 예술가였던 신사임당과 같은 한국의 역사적 인물을 전시할 것입니다.
서울을 방문하는 외국인 여행자의 숫자가 증가하고 있는 이 시점에, 서울 그레뱅 박물관은 서울의 관광지에 더욱 더 다양함을 더하고 관광사업의 증진을 가져올 것으로 기대됩니다.
