The Brothers Grimm

Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm were German folklorists and linguists. They collected traditional European folktales to preserve the oral traditions of German folklore. Their first collection, Children’s and Household Tales, was published in 1812. It included stories like Cinderella and Snow White. These tales became famous worldwide, and the brothers kept updating the book until 1857 by adding more stories. Filmmakers like Walt Disney have adapted some of these tales into films.
