Park Mun-su

In 1727, King Yeongjo of the Joseon dynasty named Park Mun-su his secret inspector. Until March 1728, Inspector Park traveled around the southeastern region of the country. He investigated local officials and fired them if they committed wrongdoings. Park returned the stolen assets to their rightful owners. He also recommended qualified people for the vacant posts. Park’s efforts garnered admiration and respect from the ordinary people of the Joseon dynasty.
