Robert Scott Lauder

Robert Scott Lauder was a famous Scottish artist. He attended the Royal High School in Edinburgh, then moved to London. Around 1826, Lauder returned to his hometown, Edinburgh. In 1830, he became one of the first members of the Royal Scottish Academy. Lauder returned to London in 1838. He exhibited his work at the Royal Academy of Arts during his stay there. Later, Robert Scott Lauder became the first president of the National Institution of Fine Arts, where he also displayed his works.
