Stinky Seaweed Has a Scientific Reason

Beaches of the Caribbean Sea are known for their bright-blue water and soft, white sand. Lately, they do not look so good, and really stink, too. Lots of seaweed covers these beaches.

Scientists say that climate change is to blame. Warmer oceans along with waste and fertilizers dumped in the oceans help seaweed grow. Meanwhile, changes in the tides wash more seaweed on shore. Scientists are working to restore the tropical beauty again.
