Tadpoles are baby frogs. They can breathe only in the water. However, they grow up to have special skin that they can breathe through. The skin absorbs oxygen both in and out of the water. So, they can come out of the water to jump around.

Adult frogs develop lungs. The lungs help them use their mouths and noses to breathe on land. The balloon-like lungs also keep them from sinking. Jamie Shin

자연이 주는 선물

올챙이는 아기 개구리입니다.
올챙이들은 물 속에서만 숨을 쉴 수 있습니다.
그러나 올챙이들은 자라서 숨을 쉴 수 있는 특별한 피부를 갖게 됩니다.
그 피부는 수중에서 그리고 물 밖에서 산소를 흡수합니다.
그래서 그들은 물 속에서 나와 뛰어다닐 수 있습니다.
다 자란 개구리에게는 폐가 생깁니다.
폐는 개구리들이 입과 코를 이용하여 땅 위에서 호흡할 수 있게 도와줍니다.
풍선처럼 생긴 폐들은 개구리들이 물 속에서 가라앉지 않도록 해주기도 합니다.
